DIFFERENT TYPES OF CONCRETE FINISHES – BORDA DIAMANT EUROPE

We show the different concrete finishes, which are more and more requested every day.

ROLLER SANDBLASTING:

Roller sandblasting is carried out with a fixed or planetary rotation machine, with fine tungsten rollers.

This finish is ideal outdoors, easy to sweep and gives a rustic look to the floor.

BUSHHAMMERING:

The bushhammering with roller is carried out with a fixed or planetary turning machine, with rollers with thick tungsten tips and in different dispositions, with more or less concentration of tips.

This finish is ideal for exteriors, giving a rustic look to the floor and even used as a substitute for milling in areas where we need a strong anchorage for resins.

MILLING:

It was one of the most used systems for the anchoring of epoxy resins until the BORDA DIAMANT type diamond machines came out. Nowadays, it is still used in vials for the extraction of old markings.

GRANALLADO:

Shot blasting was a system that allowed a large production of meters per day at a low cost, but also say that it is a system that when applying resins or poliuretanos leaves marked streets or lanes difficult to hide, with a final finish, which may not be ideal.

LITHIUM CONCRETE POLISHING:

Concrete polishing with lithium is a laborious work system that allows to give finishes with natural shine to the concrete, being able to be done with the exposed stone, or polished only on the surface. Afterwards, waxes, crystallizers or water repellents can be applied.

DIAMOND:

Diamond grinding is the most widely used system today for preparing surfaces for the application of epoxy or polyurethane resins, as well as being the beginning of concrete polishing processes. We can perform the process with different types of diamond machines, machines with fixed direction of rotation or satellite machines. The former are more aggressive and give a longer life to the tools, the latter allow better finishes on the surfaces, which can lead to mechanical polishing.
